The Gateway to the Gila Valley
Safford Regional Airport - 1LT Duane Spalsbury Field is owned an operated by the City of Safford. Located in the Gila Valley in Southeastern Arizona, the airport is the only public airport in Graham County, and the only airport in the county with paved runways. As such, the airport serves as a critical transportation hub, providing services such as air cargo, medevac, wildfire fighting, and law enforcement support, as well as serving a growing number of General Aviation tenants.
Airport Management
Safford Regional Airport is owned and operated by the City of Safford. Airport Management is on-site Monday through Thursday from 7am to 6pm.
FBO
Ponderosa Aviation serves as the airport's Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) and provides fuel, A&P services, Avionics Repair, Charter Operations, Air Medevac, and much more.
Fire Base
The Safford Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) Base provides aerial wildfire fighting capabilities to the Gila Valley and beyond.
